My experience with HSV Singles was less than stellar. I had high hopes for this dating site, but it fell short in many areas.
First of all, the user profiles are public and anyone can view them without signing up or having an account on the website – not exactly a safe way to go about online dating! Plus, you don’t have any control over who sees your profile since there’s no way to set custom bios or limit access based on age range/location/etc. The location info is also included in each profile which makes me feel like my privacy isn’t respected at all – if I wanted people knowing where I live then why would be using a dating app? Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any option for hiding that information either so that’s definitely something they need to work on ASAP!
Also worth noting is that while browsing through different users’ profiles there wasn’t really anything indicating how far away from one another we were located; making it difficult when trying decide whether someone could actually become more than just an online acquaintance (or even worse: catfishing!). Speaking of catfishing…I did come across quite a few fake accounts during my time testing out HSV Singles too which made me question their vetting process as well as overall safety measures taken by the site itself…not cool guys, not cool at all!

It’s all garish colors with clashing hues – think neon green on hot pink – and its font choices are equally as outdated. As far as usability goes, there isn’t much to talk about because navigating around the site feels more like an obstacle course than anything else.
The layout itself makes no sense whatsoever; everything is scattered everywhere so it takes forever just to find what you’re looking for. And don’t even get me started on how slow this thing runs – if I had any hair left after using HSV Singles, I would have pulled them out by now! On top of that, when trying to access certain features or functions such as messaging other users or viewing profiles without being logged in seems impossible at times due to constant redirects back onto their homepage which can be incredibly frustrating especially when time-sensitive messages need responding too quickly.
