How we reviewed TruMingle

To review TruMingle, my team and I went through an extensive process. We tested both the free and paid versions of the site to get a full understanding of what it offers users. To really get into it, we sent over 100 messages in total across different user profiles during our two-week testing period – that’s dedication! We also took time to explore all features on offer from search filters to messaging capabilities as well as checking out how easy (or difficult) signing up was for new members. As part of this review, we checked out safety measures such as blocking/reporting functions too so you can be sure your online dating experience is secure when using TruMingle. Finally, no good review would be complete without exploring customer service options which were top notch with helpful responses coming back quickly each time we contacted them via email or chatbot feature on their website – another tick in the box!
At Online Dating Expert Reviews HQ we take pride in providing thorough reviews like this one so readers know exactly what they are getting before joining any online dating platform – something many other sites don’t provide!

TruMingle features

Ugh, TruMingle. Where do I even begin? This dating site is a real letdown in terms of features – both free and paid. Let’s start with the free version: you can create an account and browse other users’ profiles, but that’s about it! You don’t get to message anyone or send any virtual gifts without upgrading your membership plan first… which brings me to my next point: their prices are outrageous! The most basic subscription costs more than what some people pay for Netflix each month – no joke!

Now onto the actual features on offer; they’re pretty run-of-the mill stuff like messaging tools, profile customization options etc., nothing really unique here unfortunately. There isn’t much else worth mentioning either – apart from maybe one feature where you can set up “date ideas” if you want someone special to join you (which could be fun). But all in all there just aren’t enough bells and whistles when compared with similar sites out there today. I mean sure TruMingle has been around since 2009 so they have had plenty of time to come up with something new or exciting…but apparently not because this site feels super outdated at times – especially when it comes down to design choices such as fonts used etc.. It almost looks like something straight outta 2006 yikes!!

Overall I wouldn’t recommend using TruMingle unless absolutely necessary due its lacklustre offerings plus expensive pricing plans; why waste money on mediocrity?! If anything go somewhere else instead that offers better value for money AND actually gives customers access decent range of useful/enjoyable features too boot 🙂

  • Completely free and no hidden charges
  • No membership fees or subscription costs
  • Ability to search for singles in your area
  • Advanced filtering options to help you find the perfect match
  • Private messaging and chat rooms for more secure communication

Security & Safety

When it comes to online dating, safety and security should be top priority. Unfortunately, TruMingle doesn’t seem to understand that concept very well. From what I can tell there is no verification process for users on the app so you never really know who you’re talking to or if they are even real people! There’s also not much in terms of fighting against bots and fake accounts which makes me wonder how secure this platform actually is?

On top of all that, photos aren’t manually reviewed either so anyone could upload anything without any kind of consequence – yikes! The privacy policy isn’t great either as it states they will share your data with third-party companies (which means more ads). So overall when it comes down to protecting its users from scammers or hackers – TruMingle fails miserably. No two-step verification option available here folks; just a bunch of strangers lurking around waiting for their next victim…if you catch my drift.

If I had one piece advice: stay away from TruMingle unless you want your personal information out there floating around like an open book ready for someone else’s eyes perusal – trust me when I say nothing good ever came outta something like that! It would be wise not take chances by signing up on this site because let’s face it…you don’t wanna end up being another fish in the sea getting reeled into some scammer’s trap now do ya?!

Design & Usability

TruMingle is a dating site that promises to be free, but its design and usability leave much to be desired. It’s not the worst I’ve seen, but it certainly isn’t great either. The colors are drab and uninspiring – shades of gray with some pink thrown in for good measure. Not exactly the most romantic color palette! As far as usability goes, TruMingle has some serious issues: navigation can be confusing at times; there are no helpful hints or tutorials on how to use certain features; search functions could definitely use an upgrade too.

The real kicker though? If you want any UI improvements then you’ll have to pay up for a paid subscription – which doesn’t seem very “free” if you ask me! And don’t even get me started on their customer service…let’s just say they’re less than friendly when it comes time for refunds or help with technical problems (which happen more often than one would think). All in all, while TruMingle may offer something different from other online dating sites out there – namely being free – its design and user experience need major improvement before I’d recommend this site over others like Match or eHarmony that actually invest resources into making sure their users have a positive experience every time they logon.

User Profiles

If you’re looking for a dating site that promises to be the real deal, TruMingle isn’t it. The user profiles are public and can be viewed by anyone who visits the website – so much for privacy! Plus, there’s no way to set a custom bio or even hide your location info. So if you’re not comfortable with people knowing where you live right off the bat then this is definitely not going to work out in your favor.

The distance between users also doesn’t seem like something they take into account when matching up potential partners either; I couldn’t find any indication of how far away someone was from me which made finding compatible matches all but impossible! It would have been nice if there were some kind of feature that showed whether two people lived close enough together before wasting time messaging them only to discover they’re on opposite sides of the country (or world!).

I thought maybe signing up for their premium subscription might give me access to better features but nope – nothing changed at all after paying my fee except now I had less money in my pocket than before! There weren’t any extra benefits or perks associated with having an upgraded profile so really what was even the point? And don’t get me started on how many fake accounts and bots I encountered while trying out TruMingle…it felt like every other message sent my way wasn’t actually coming from another person, just some automated system designed solely as clickbait…bleh!!

Overall, unless you want strangers being able see exactly where ya live without warning AND getting bombarded by phony messages galore then stay away from this one folks because trust me- it ain’t worth it!!!

TruMingle might be free to join, but it’s not exactly a bargain. Sure, you can create your profile and browse other users for no cost at all – but if you want to actually message someone or view their full profiles? You guessed it: that requires a paid subscription. And the prices aren’t competitive either! The cheapest option is $13/month (ouch!), with additional packages going up from there – so unless you’re willing to shell out some serious cash just for access to messaging features on an online dating site, TruMingle isn’t really worth the investment.

On top of that, paying members don’t get any extra perks besides being able to send messages; they don’t even get priority in search results like many other sites offer! So while I understand why people may be tempted by its “free-ness," when it comes down do it TruMingle simply doesn’t have enough bang for your buck…unless of course money is no object.
